About Us

About Our Founder

Mercy Said No was established in 2012 after hearing a sermon about becoming a “doer”.

A sermon this good was not going to be left in a notebook so Mr. Lawson decided to be a doer just as she had learnt from the sermon and from that day she was set on a mission to “Save a life, Save a generation”

With no medical skill, she decided to step out in faith and later her mission became actualised as a result of hearing the call and choosing fulfil her purpose.

Mrs. Lawson began with a clothing mission to Nigeria but immediately realised there was a greater need for effective and sustainable healthcare in the country. She put together a team of highly skilled medical professionals in the USA and embarked on Mercy Said No’s first medical mission. It was after this medical mission, serving humanity became her main focus.

She has dedicated her time to helping and serving the less privileged and under served in her local community as well as in Africa.

Who are we?

Mercy Said No Inc is a non-profit, 501 c 3 organization that coordinates medical mission trips annually to African countries since we began in 2012. Our mission is to provide evidence based access to basic healthcare to the underserved. Our goal is to help bridge the healthcare gap by providing health screening, medications and health education to the communities we serve.

We focus on non-communicable diseases, mainly HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE and DIABETES which outside of malaria are the top causes of death to millions of people in African countries.
Access to basic healthcare is close to non-existent and not affordable. 8 out of every 10 people we see have a trace to full blown high blood pressure.
The poverty level is so blatant that struggling to provide food for the family is a higher priority than health. We bring help and hope. Our team of volunteers includes Physicians, Nurses, Therapists, Pharmacists and Non-medical staff.

Mercy Said No will continue to focus on making a positive difference in Africa and our local provinces.
